Our Mission

The Green Palm Gang is on a mission to end the cycle of sexual exploitation of our young women fueled by food and income insecurity. We stand with young women — not as saviors, but as partners — creating safe, healing spaces rooted in dignity, equity, and community. Through compassion, integrity, and true empowerment, we help girls reclaim their strength, rewrite their stories, and lead lasting change.

Vision Statement

We envision a world where young women impacted by exploitation are no longer seen as victims, but as leaders — equipped with the skills, support, and resources to thrive. At The Green Palm Gang, we are building a future where at-risk youth grow into agents of change: healing through the land, uplifting their families, and transforming their neighborhoods through sustainable agriculture and cooperative economics.

Our vision is rooted in community, led by lived experience, and grown with intention — one girl, one garden, one generation at a time.

Our People

George X. Humphries, a visionary designer of impactful systems, an advocate for the development of futures, and a dedicated protector of the essential youth in our community. Growing up in an environment where survival often required substantial sacrifice, he has effectively harnessed his experiences to create a meaningful purpose by founding The Green Palm Gang, which serves as both a supportive refuge and a strategic initiative. George is driven by the belief that every young woman deserves a safe environment and should never have to trade her dignity or safety for basic needs such as food and shelter.

Join us at the farm where at-risk youth and their families grow together, learn business skills, and help cultivate a healthier community.

Our Location

Located at the heart of South Columbus, The Green Palm Gang is housed behind Flea Market City at 3338 Victory Drive. This site is more than just a gardening location. It is a hub for community growth and youth empowerment. This space hosts our gardens, educational workshops, a marketplace, and a budding food forest.
